Federal Drilling

Geotechnical drilling is commonly used for site investigation. A site investigation is conducted to determine whether or not a site will be suitable for construction or to determine the current conditions after construction. Drilling over water requires a unique complement of equipment to perform and support drilling operations around marine structures in both deep and shallow water. In addition to the mechanical equipment support is the provision for a climate controlled work space for engineers, safety and crew personnel. Safety is paramount in these operations where environmental conditions, weather and water currents create challenges that must be overcome.

Southern Shores has extensive experience in the support of various types of geotechnical drilling and collection of samples and data.
